  • Lowell Kamin President, CEO & Chairman of the Board

    A highly experienced financial services professional, Lowell's professional background is grounded in multi-faceted strategic thinking and business development for a variety of businesses. He has advised and raised funds for a range of Canadian and U.S. mining issuers, from the exploration phase to production. Lowell's experience includes working in the areas of securities analysis, asset management, investment banking, and capital raising, with a deep understanding of capital markets, small to medium sized enterprises (both publicly traded and private), and commercial real estate. Lowell holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in philosophy and business from The University of Western Ontario, and his real estate knowledge stems from growing up in his family's real estate business, which included owning Mosport Park in Ontario, Canada, from 1966 to 1998.

  • Kyle Appleby, CPA, CA Chief Financial Officer

    Mr. Appleby is a seasoned Chief Financial Officer who spent the first 10 years of his career working in public accounting where he worked in both audit and advisory practices working with private companies and investment funds. For the past 15 years, he has been providing CFO services to a number of public and private companies, both in Canada and abroad. He has a strong record of assisting companies with financial reporting and controls, governance, operations, financing, regulatory compliance and taxation. Kyle is a member in good standing of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.

  • Ty Magee, M.Sc., P.Geo. Qualified Person

    Ty is a Senior Geologist with Axiom Group. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan in 2013 and his M.Sc. from the University of Saskatchewan in 2018. He is registered as a Professional Geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).

    Mr. Margach is an experienced Analyst and Portfolio Manager having managed both Canadian and US public equities for more than 25 years, has managed fixed income assets and is knowledgeable about digital assets. Scott has a consulting backgrounf, helping asset owners and asset managers deal with the evolving challenges related to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues. Scott earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Carleton University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

    Leo is a seasoned technical geologist with 22 years of global experience in exploration and mining for precious, base, battery and rare earth metals, diamonds and uranium across Canada, Australia, SE Asia, South America, Africa and Europe. Notably, Leo led the team behind significant high-grade uranium discoveries in Canada's Athabasca Basin. He also serves on the Board of ASX-listed Cosmos Exploration, and his expertise and Canadian network are invaluable assets to Lodestar. Leo has also contributed to various lithium pegmatite projects, including the renowned Kenticha lithium-tantalum deposit in Ethiopia.

    David Christie is a Professional Geologist with over 38 years of experience in the resource and resource finance sector. As President and CEO of Orford Mining Corp, he took the company public in 2017, secured $34 million in equity financings, and led it to a successful acquisition by Alamos Gold. He also served as President and CEO of Eagle Hill Exploration Corp, facilitating a five-way merger to create Osisko Mining. His extensive experience includes roles as Vice President at Goodman & Company Investment Counsel and Dundee Resources Inc., managing $200 million in resource funds, and as a senior gold and precious metals analyst at TD Securities and Scotia Capital. He spent 15 years as an exploration geologist for Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. and has served on the boards of eCobalt Solutions Inc., Osisko Mining Inc., Orford Mining Corp, True North Nickel, and Condor Precious Metals.
